赏美景,品美食,是我们在一座城市旅行时必不可少的两件事。每到一个新地方,小伙伴们都要搜一搜“哪个饭店最地道”“哪道菜最好吃”,那么,如果有朋友到南京旅行,该推荐他们去哪里品尝地道的“金陵美食”呢?这不,南航外国语学院的学生冯汭琪和留学生aurore已经找到了答案——

南京大牌档是提供正宗南京美食的连锁店。大红灯笼高高挂起,木制的大门敞开着,南京大牌档想在第一眼就给食客留下深刻的印象。在里边有舒适的座椅,整齐摆放的桌子下有一条条长凳,底下还有木篮子可以供食客放置物品。巧妙的座位安排让顾客们无惧长长的队伍。但是因为不能预约,所以最好晚上七点之前去,以防菜肴被卖光。

nanjing impressions is a chain restaurant supplying authentic nanjing food. from the red lanterns hung high and large wooden doors opened wide, it seems determined to leave visitors a great first impression. inside, the seating is comfortable, with benches at well-spaced tables and willow baskets conveniently tucked underneath to keep your belongings while you enjoy your delicacies. a clever seating system arrangement works so well that a long queue is nothing to worry about. however, with no reservations, it’s best to go before 7pm or many dishes will sell out.

这里的侍者也令人印象深刻。他们身着传统的侍者服饰,彬彬有礼地询问客人数量,以安排合适的位置,然后亲自将客人领到桌前。

the waiters here are also impressive. wearing traditional chinese costume, they politely ask the number of guests, in order to arrange the seats properly, then lead the way to the table.

摆放着的菜肴让我们眼花缭乱。空气中令人垂涎欲滴的气味好像在催促我们尽快点单。

we are dazed by the dishes on display. the mouthwatering aroma in the air seems to hurry us into ordering.

美龄粥

这就是著名的美龄粥,得名于宋美龄。据说有一次宋美龄不舒服,食不下咽,就让她的厨子用豆浆、糯米、山药熬制了一款粥,不仅味美,而且有利于保持健康。

it’s said that when may-ling occasionally lost her appetite, she asked her cook to make porridge with soybean milk, glutinous rice, chinese yam. the porridge is believed to be very delicious and helpful to health.

嗯,果然是又好吃又甜,还可以尝出豆浆的味道。

it’s delicious and sweet. i can still taste of soya milk.

酒酿赤豆元宵 古法糖芋苗

我们也尝了酒酿赤豆元宵,一种甜甜的酿造过的糯米丸子。还有一种传统工艺制作而成的芋头,叫古法糖芋苗。

we also try jiuniang chidou yuanxiao(酒酿赤豆元宵), a sweet fermented rice bean soup,and sweet taro cooked in the traditional way,called gufa tangyumiao(古法糖芋苗).

口感很甜,甜丝丝的口感很符合江南水乡的意境。

jiuniang chidou yuanxiao tastes sweet, which accords with the artistic conception of jiangnan water features.

梅花糕

传说乾隆皇帝下江南途经苏州时在集市遇到了这种小吃,被它状似梅花的可爱模样所吸引,觉得甚是诱人。品尝后不禁绝口称赞,当即赐名“梅花糕”。后来流传到南京,逐渐发展为高人气的南京特产,与古法糖芋苗、蜜汁藕、酒酿赤豆元宵,一同被誉为南京四大经典街头小吃。刚出锅的梅花糕是很烫的,配上其软糯和香甜的口感,给人一种惊喜的感觉。

it is said that the qianlong emperor encountered this snack at the market when he passed through suzhou on his trip in jiangnan. fascinated by the lovely appearance the qianlong emperor tasted the snack and then couldn’t help to praise it. he gave it the name plum blossom cake .later it spread to nanjing and gradually became a very popular specialty. together with gufa tangyumiao, honey sauce lotus and jiuniang chidou yuanxiao, plum blossom cake is praised as four classic street food in nanjing.the freshly baked plum blossom cake is very hot, coupled with its soft and sweet taste, giving a surprising feeling.

金陵盐水鸭

远在春秋战国时期,南京即有“筑地养鸭”的记载,据《吴地记》记载:“吴王筑城,城以养鸭,周数百里。”南京多鸭,南京人更爱吃鸭。喜爱美食的南京人总有千千万万种做法将鸭烹饪成难得的珍馐。其中以盐水鸭最富盛名,盐水鸭鸭皮白肉嫩、肥而不腻、香鲜味美,具有香、酥、嫩的特点。

there is a record of "building to raise ducks", which is traced back to the spring and autumn period and warring states period, in nanjing. according to the book record of wu area, "prince of wu ordered people to build cities and towns so as to raise ducks. the boundary is up to hundreds of miles long." nanjing is a city abundant in ducks and people in nanjing are fond of eating duck. they always have numerous ways to make ducks rare delicacies, among which salted duck is the most famous. salted duck owns white skin, tender meat and nice flavour. it is fat but not greasy. salted duck has the characteristics of being fragrant, crisp and tender.

与川菜的辣不同,南京乃至江南的食物都偏甜。甜是一种柔情。在南京大牌档,这座精心布置,喧闹却秩序井然的饭店里,有穿着古代服饰的店小二,雅致的古老小调,最重要的是,有最好的南京美食。

unlike the spiciness in sichuang cuisine, the food in jiangsu province tend to be sweet. sweet is tenderness. in nanjing impressions, a delicately decorated restaurant which is noisy but orderly, there are waiters in ancient dress, old elegant tune, and most importantly, the best authentic nanjing food.
